Circumcision of the heart : The human heart
The human heart in its natural condition, is evil. treacherous and deceitful.
In Jeremiah 17: 9, it says ” the heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.”
Jesus pointed out the fallen condition of our heart.
In Mark 7:21-23, it says “From within out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride and foolishness. All these evil things come from from within and defile a man”
In Romans 10:10, it says ” for the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”
In Psalm 51:10 it says “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me”
In Ezekiel 36:26 it says “I will give you a new heart and give you a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh”
It is impossible for a men to understand the mystery of God, without the circumcision of the heart
Deuteronomy 30:6 “And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and will all your soul that you lay live”
This is the key !
And then in Romans 2:28-29 it says, “For he is not a Jews unto is one outwardly, non is circumcision that wich is outwardly in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly and the circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit not in the letter, whose praise is not from men but from God.”
It is our dependancy in the living Christ, in His rightesousness, wisdom, salvation and sanctification that we are all baptised in the Holy Spirit.
In Proverbs 4:23 it says “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life”
